How to play Fillomino
- Match number to size. Every cell belongs to a region whose total cell count equals the number printed in it. A 4 sits in a region of exactly four cells.
- Same numbers connect. Cells of a region share its number, so equal numbers that touch belong to the same region.
- Separate equal regions. Two separate regions of the same size may never be orthogonally adjacent.
- Fill the whole grid. Every cell ends up assigned to exactly one region, including cells that started blank.
Fillomino strategy & tips
- A lone 1 is a complete region by itself — wall it off from any neighbouring 1.
- Two equal numbers separated by one cell often force that cell into one of them.
- Count escape routes: a region must be able to reach its full size without merging into another of equal size.
